My name is Meaghan Reist and I am so proud to teach, lead and learn in this school.
After graduating from Olds High School I attended the University of Lethbridge where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees majoring in English Language Arts. I acquired my Masters of Education with a specialization in leadership from the University of Calgary, and I continue my learning both professionally and personally whenever I can.
I have worked with Chinook’s Edge School Division since 2006 and in this time I have taught a variety of subject areas. I taught English at École Olds High from 2007-2015, and then spent time as Vice-Principal at Bowden Grandview, our neighboring K-12 school, and Vice-Principal and Principal in our local middle school. These opportunities allow me to see our education system from first to last days of school and appreciate what a gift it is to teach students in their last four years of school.
In my time outside of the classroom I read, sing and travel. My time and love is shared with my wonderful son, daughter and husband. We enjoy all things Disney, we are trying to see as much of the world as we can while the kids are at home, and we love to laugh and learn from one another.
I look forward to being a part of your educational experiences this year!
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. ~ Walter Disney
